The basic concept of the game is to be assigned cards totaling up to 21. Each competitor is assigned 2 cards. When a player is dealt a 9 or less and an Ace they’ve been handed a soft hand. When the blackjack player receives no Ace cards it is called as a hard hand. As soon as the cards have been dealt all players at the blackjack table, including the dealer, each gambler is given the opportunity to make one of 6 choices:

Requesting another card (Hit): When a player says "hit" the dealer will give them another card, if the adding of that card makes the value of the hand to exceed twenty one the player will have busted and that is the end of the game, if the card makes the total to twenty one the gambler is the winner and if the total has not yet reached twenty-one they are still in the game.

Keeping the hand you have been dealt: If a blackjack player is happy with the hand they will hold. As soon as this has happened the croupier will display their hand and the player who has accumulated twenty one or the nearest to twenty-one will win.

Doubling Down: A player might request to double down which doubles the bet they have made. As soon as you have taken this procedure you can only be given 1 more card. The specifics of doubling down are normally specified by the blackjack table or casino rules so before wagering make sure you’re at ease with the casino rules. If you’re competing at a net betting house this is normally quite easy.
