I have bet on countless of hands of blackjack. I began working my way into the casinos when I was 16. I have enjoyed online 21, I have counted cards, and worked with a team for a short time. Given all that I have still spent a lot of money at chemin de fer. The casinos have made it nearly impossible to beat the casino.
I still like the game and gamble on a frequent basis. Over this time period I have played a variation of 21 called "The Take it Leave it Method". You won’t get flush with this method or beat the house, still you will have an abundance of fun. This tactic is centered on the fact that 21 appears to be a match of runs. When you’re on fire your on fire, and when you are not you are NOT!
I play basic strategy vingt-et-un. When I don’t win I bet the table minimum on the next hand. If I don’t win again I bet the lowest amount allowed on the successive hand again etc. As soon as I profit I take the payout paid to me and I wager the original wager again. If I win this hand I then keep in play the winnings paid to me and now have double my original wager on the table. If I win again I take the payout paid to me, and if I win the next hand I leave it for a total of four times my original wager. I keep betting this way "Take it Leave it etc". Once I do not win I lower the bet back down to the original bet.
I am very disciplined and never "chicken out". It gets very thrilling on occasion. If you win a few hands in a row your bets go up very fast. Before you realize it you are wagering $100-200/ hand. I have had great runs a number of times now. I left a $5 table at the Palms a couple of years ago with $750 after 30 mins using this method! And a couple of weeks ago in Las Vegas I left a game with $1200!
You need to understand that you can relinquish a great deal faster this way too!. But it really makes the game more enjoyable. And you will be amazed at the streaks you notice wagering this way. Below is a chart of what you would wager if you kept winning at a 5 dollar game.

Take 5 dollar paid-out to you, leave the original 5 dollar bet
Bet five dollar
Leave 5 dollar paid to you for a total bet of $10
Wager ten dollar
Take 10 dollar paid to you, leave the initial 10 dollar wager
Bet ten dollar
Leave ten dollar paid-out to you for a total wager of 20 dollar
Wager twenty dollar
Take $20 paid to you, leave the original twenty dollar wager
Bet $20
Leave twenty dollar paid-out to you for a total bet of 40 dollar
Wager forty dollar
Take 40 dollar paid-out to you, leave the first $40 bet
Wager forty dollar
Leave $40 paid-out to you for a total wager of $80
Bet eighty dollar
Take $80 paid-out to you, leave the first 80 dollar wager
Bet 80 dollar
Leave 80 dollar paid to you for a total bet of 160 dollar
Bet $160
Take one hundred and sixty dollar paid to you, leave the initial 160 dollar wager
If you departed at this moment you would be up 315 dollar !!
It’s herculean to go on a run this long, but it does happen. And when it does you can’t alter and lower your bet or the end result will not be the same.
